MANDY MOODY – “WIFE”

Born and raised on the Island of Oahu, Mandy Moody’s love for performing began by dancing Hula at the age of five. Her love for the Arts continued to branch, winning awards in musical composition for trumpet and piano. The majority of her childhood was dedicated to Musical Theater and Performing Arts groups. Some memorable performances include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, A Wonderful Life, and 42nd Street to name a few. Mandy began modeling heavily in high school which led to national commercials for Mervyn’s, Shiseido, McDonalds, and Capital One. This naturally opened the door to acting in film and television. She has gained invaluable insight working amongst many actors such as Christopher McDonald, Allen Covert, Scott Caan, Alex O’Loughlin, Grace Park and Oscar winning director Alexander Payne. Prior to making the move to LA, Mandy guest-starred on Joe Dante’s directed episode of Hawaii Five-0. Mandy currently trains with Cullen Douglas and at the prestigious Playhouse West with Robert Carnegie. Also, having earned a Patisserie Degree, you just might find Mandy in the kitchen whipping up some delicious chocolate chip-oatmeal-pecan cookies! Mandy is honored to be part of Birthday, an honest depiction of what so many soldiers and veterans face. Aloha!

CHRIS GOUCHOE – “HUSBAND”

Chris Gouchoe’s introduction into acting began his senior year in high school at Concord-Carlisle in Massachusetts, when a friend jokingly signed him up to audition for the play, Grapes of Wrath. Chris says he “somehow wound up with the lead as Tom Joad”. Less than a year later he landed a speaking role in the Oscar-Nominated David Fincher film “The Social Network” as a freshman at Boston College. For the next four years Chris produced, wrote and acted in a number of plays and films at Boston College, in the Boston area, and in Melbourne, Australia…where he studied abroad at the University of Melbourne. Over the years some of his favorite projects have included playing The Moon in José Rivera’s “References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot”, Dalton Chance in Naomi Wallace’s “The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek”, and Picasso in Steve Martin’s “Picasso at the Lapin Agile.” This past May Chris graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor’s Degree in English, Creative Writing, and Philosophy followed by move to Los Angeles. Since moving to L.A. he has worked on several projects, the most notable being a minor role in Columbia Pictures’ “Kitchen Sink” due in theaters in January 2015.
