BradMoore Press Kit

Brad is a British actor, comedian and producer from Hertfordshire known primarily for his roles in The Rise, Best Laid Plans and Montana. Born at University College Hospital in London as Bradley Heath Moore to his mother, Brenda Butler, who was a ballerina and hairdresser from Jewish-Italian decent and his father who he fondly describes as a ‘Chancer’ from the East End of London, Brad started his life in Islington before moving to Hertforshire at 11. Brad was introduced to acting at a very young age, which he credits to actress and neighbour Pauline Quirk, although he did not follow his passion until much later in life.

In Hertfordshire, Brad developed a keen interest in boxing – a sport he continues to coach now. He attended Chauncy Secondary School where he excelled in art but at 21, when his parents separated, Brad moved to Nice in the south of France where he lived for two years and fronted a band, earning bread and butter money from a small job in a Restaurant. After leaving France, Brad lived in numerous countries, a period of time he says ‘taught him to embrace life, take risks and become the behaviourist he is today’ After becoming successful in finance Brad, still craving a return to his artistic roots, quit his job and enrolled in two of London’s post-graduate acting schools, training during the day and performing in the London stand-up circuit in the evenings. After two years of gigging up and down the country Brad’s show was featured by Channel 4 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival held in August.

Since then, Brad has appeared in over twenty short films and five feature films including Mercenaries alongside Billy Zane, Best Laid Plans alongside Stephen Graham and The Rise with Timothy Spall. In 2014, he appeared in short film Ruminate starring Rebecca Hall and in the role of Stephen Phelps in Montana. He plays the lead role in upcoming films Writers Retreat and Gloves Off, and will be seen as the lead antagonist in Golden Years, due out in April 2016.
