Synopsis:

SHORT Version
Hava’s brothers decide to divide their paternal property. According to traditional customs, the right to inheritance belongs to male descendants only whereas Hava has no right to inherit. The eldest brother is obligated to find a husband for his sister. Hava must be married and live at her husband’s house.

LONG Version
Hava is a woman in her 30s who lives in the sub-urban part of Prishtina, which is the capital of Kosovo. She works as a chef in a fast food restaurant in the city. When her parents passed away, her brothers decided to divide their inheritance.
According to traditional customs, the right to inheritance belongs to male descendants only. Therefore, she was excluded from the household inheritance, depriving her from her right to benefit from the family property.
Because she is in her 30s, her brothers believe she should get married so that she could live at her husband’s house.
