The Zim Press Kit

Written and Directed by Alexander Bedria

Alexander honed his storytelling craft by years of writing scenes and short plays for he and fellow actors to perform. He then moved into self-producing experimental short films, which began to garner him attention and roles in acclaimed series and films. This naturally evolved Alexander’s desire to tell bigger and more complex stories, planting the seed for THE ZIM.

After nearly five years in the development, THE ZIM premiered at the 2017 LA Shorts International Film Festival.

Produced by William Barfield, Alexander Bedria and Shannan Keenan

Studying filmmaking at the prestigious New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and the UCLA Producing Program, William has regularly collaborated with some of Hollywood’s most successful independent producers including Gina Amoroso (REVOLUTIONARY ROAD), Lydia Cedrone (ALI) and Jaime Burke (THE PACT and THE UNTITLED DAVID VICTORI/MICHAEL FASSBENDER PROJECT). William Barfield has produced over 40 film projects, created his own production company (Face Forward Films) and continues to raise the bar for himself and his creative collaborators with each new ambitious film project.

Through Shannon Keenan’s production company (Just Hank Productions) Shannan wrote, directed, and produced the award-winning short film TRAIL END, starring veteran and Emmy-nominated actor Barry Corbin (LONESOME DOVE, NORTHERN EXPOSURE, NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN).  Shannan also wrote, directed, and produced the critically acclaimed independent feature LOAVES.  Currently, Shannan has partnered with Emmy-award winning artists from THE SIMPSONS and FAMILY GUY to create and produce cutting edge animated projects.
